Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a multi-location recycling leader to hire a Controller who will own the financial operations for multiple sites across six states. Since 1976, our business has thrived in some of the fastest-growing metro areas—Chicago, Memphis, Clearwater, Orlando, and San Antonio—and we’re looking for a hands-on leader ready to make an impact. In this role, you’ll manage accounting teams, streamline workflows, and partner with ownership to keep our operations running at peak efficiency. This is a great fit for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys both strategic oversight and rolling up their sleeves.

Controller Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly accounting workflows and checklists

  • Lead month-end close and review financial statements for accuracy

  • Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff across locations

  • Conduct performance reviews and manage hiring/training processes

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices

  • Analyze trends and variances, implementing cost-saving strategies

  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts for assigned sites

  • Support special projects for ownership and senior management

Controller Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Prior supervisory experience with direct reports

  • Proficiency in inventory accounting and advanced Excel

  • Skilled in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control

  • Manufacturing, recycling, or service industry experience a plus

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
