We are seeking an experienced, hard working and reliable Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of 10-15 road tractors. Makes include Freightliner, Peterbilt, International, and Kenworth.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, tire work, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct engine diagnostics and repairs on CAT, Detroit, and Cummins engines.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair drivelines, suspensions, steering, braking systems, and aftertreatment/DEF systems. Transmissions is a plus.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair engine and electronic control systems.
• Maintain accurate repair records, work orders, and parts usage logs.
• Ensure all repairs meet DOT and company safety standards.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs when needed.
• Willing to work on weekends when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or diesel mechanic certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience working on road tractors (Freightliner, Peterbilt, International, Kenworth).
• Knowledge of CAT, Detroit Diesel, and Cummins engine .
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software and tools is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license
• Class A CDL Highly prefered
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable working in various environments (shop, roadside, outdoors).
• Standing, bending, kneeling, and working under vehicles for extended periods.
