Low Voltage Designer

What You’ll Do:

• Design low voltage systems for projects including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, DAS, and structured cabling.
• Create accurate and competitive proposals based on project specifications and field data.
• Conduct site visits to gather technical details and ensure your designs are tailored and functional.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to develop cost-effective and reliable system designs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather accurate pricing and technical details.
• Work closely with manufacturers to stay informed on new products and pricing options.
• Support the project team by sharing insights from the design and estimation phase to help ensure smooth project execution.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5-15+ years of experience in low voltage system design (structured cabling, access control, surveillance, etc.).
• An understanding of physical security systems and Division 28 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Eager to learn, grow, and collaborate with others.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Q360, and estimating software.

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
