As a Product Owner at Fortis, you will play a pivotal role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering innovative solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals and customer needs. You will serve as the voice of the customer, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the product vision is successfully executed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Agile Leadership - Serve as the primary point of contact for the development team in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups.
• Stakeholder Collaboration - Engage with key stakeholders, including Product Manager, business unit leaders, and technical teams to gather requirements and ensure product success.
• Backlog Management - Develop, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on product manager and customer feedback, business value, and technical considerations.
• Epic and User Story Creation - Write clear, concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and define measurable success metrics for development team.
• Feature Prioritization - Provide input to help drive decisions on priorities, trade-offs, and scope, balancing business needs with technical constraints.
• Product Launch - Work closely with Product Manager to provide information in order to successfully launch and train internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a product owner, preferably in the payments or fintech industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product through its lifecycle.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in Jira and Aha.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking.
