About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of our Telecare application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, gather requirements, and ensure successful product delivery. Your role will be critical in shaping the future of our telehealth offerings and driving user satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities of this Role:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the Telecare application that aligns with company goals and user needs.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, healthcare providers, and internal teams, to gather and prioritize user requirements and feedback.
  • Backlog Management: Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring that the development team is focused on delivering the highest value features.
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Write clear user stories and define acceptance criteria to guide the development team in building the right features.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives and representing the voice of the customer.
  • Development Support: Work closely with the development team, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to provide clarity and direction on product features.
  • Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs that will inform product enhancements and future development.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance and user engagement metrics to inform data-driven decisions and prioritize future improvements.
  • Training and Support: Collaborate with the support team to develop training materials and support documentation for end-users.

What You Need to Succeed in the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, business, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development, preferably in healthcare or telehealth.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Scrum practices.
  • Experience with Jira or other Agile planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Understanding and experience in healthcare delivery, including healthcare privacy and data security standards (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST, GDPR, etc.) required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Recognized process improvement training or experience (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
